This is the third, (and final), post describing our July 4th visit to The Sea Ranch, with an emphasis on the very special place we got to stay in while we were there – Unit 9 of Condominium One. This is the iconic structure designed by MLTW as a demonstration building for Castle & Cooke as an illustration of what could be accomplished in terms of striking a careful balance between “…living lightly on the land…” and achieving the economic necessities of developing residential real estate projects like this one.
While my last two posts have dealt with The Sea Ranch in a more general sense, this post is focused on the very special space we were privileged enough to be able to experience first-hand – Unit 9 of Condominium One. The images reflected below are but a handful of those Martha and I took during our five day visit in July. Enjoy!
We’re looking forward to returning to The Sea Ranch in October to visit with dear friends and attend the The Once and Future Sea Ranch: An Architectural Forum!
